Life Long Learning
Calling all residents, staff, and family members who love to learn! In September, we kick off our life long adult learning program and get back to “school!” This semester we have our usual art, cooking, and exercise classes, but we have a few new educational programs to offer. The new educational programs include history education, cholesterol education by our dieticians for cholesterol education month, and a mixology course where you learn how to make specialty mocktails and enjoy them on our beautiful patio with your peers!

Color Awareness Days
Staff, residents, and family members participate in our color awareness days every Thursday to learn about and support spreading awareness!

  • Thursday, September 7th we wear purple for Alzheimer’s awareness.
  • Thursday, September 14th we wear blue for prostate cancer awareness.
  • Thursday, September 21st we wear red for blood cancer awareness.
  • Thursday, September 28th we wear Burgundy for Sickle Cell Awareness.

High Holy Day
This September is filled with Jewish high holy days. Staff and residents come learn and partake in the traditions of Rosh Hashana on Saturday, September 16th at 2:45 pm in the 2 South Dining Room and join our Yitzchar Memorial Service for Yom Kippur on Monday, the 25th at 2:00 pm to honor and remember lost loved ones. Individuals of all faith and beliefs welcome and encouraged!

As we practice proper social distancing protocols in our community, we are proud to feature modified programming to continue providing vibrancy for our residents and employees.
