Elana Naclerio, MA, ATR-BC, LCAT

Elana began her career in the helping profession over 9 years ago. Elana has worked at St. James Healthcare since 2015, facilitating art therapy groups, providing non-pharmacological interventions, individual therapy sessions, support to interdisciplinary team members, and supervising interns and staff. She’s created a variety of programs to address the cognitive, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of our patients and has been an integral member of the Palliative care team, conducting bedside visits since its commencement. From an educational perspective, Elana’s accomplishments include Associate of Arts and Sciences, SCCC Bachelor of Science, LIU Post; Master of Arts in Clinical Art Therapy, LIU Post; Licensed, registered, and board-certified Creative Arts Therapist.  Elana has been promoted to Director of Therapeutic Recreation and Creative Arts Therapy. Her clinical experience, psychological approaches, and leadership skills help to guide the Therapeutic Recreation and Creative Arts Therapy teams; enabling their strengths to shine into engaging, meaningful, and life-enriching programs for the members of our St. James Community!
